Hi! My name is Eliza. First of all, thank you so much for stopping by my blog!
I grew up in the coastal town of St. Augustine, FL. Our tiny claim to fame is that we are the “oldest continuously running” city in the United States. Yes, people actually do live there year-round! In high school, I played about every sport under the sun. Soccer and cross country were my favorites. I also worked weekends at Target, where I met my future fiancé. We were both working as cashiers and looking fly in our red and khaki. The rest is history.
After high school, I went to the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and got degrees in political science and telecommunication-news. I graduated in 2012 and decided to pursue my interest in education. I got a job teaching 4th grade in Massachusetts, and without ever having visited, decided to move to Boston. Looking back, this is probably the craziest thing I’ve ever done! Also, who knew seasons were a thing? Luckily, Mr. Target was willing to come up with me and soon got a job as a creative technologist.
Now I’m still teaching and taking advantage of my summers off to travel. I’m totally hooked and can’t wait to do more!
I also have (in my humble opinion) the most adorable cat in the world. Her name is Olive.
I just got married last November in Florida. Luckily, the rain stayed away and everything went better than I could have imagined. If you are currently going through the wedding planning process, know that I feel for you! Let me know if there is any way I can help.
I decided to start this blog because I miss writing. I’m very much the eternal student who wishes she could keep taking college classes forever. Since I’ve finished my undergrad and master’s, I have no more papers to write…and I miss it. I know, such a nerd!
I hope you enjoy reading my random thoughts and even more so, I hope some of it is helpful. Thank you again for visiting!
You are AWESOME!
